Kemiri is the Indonesian name for the fruit of the Aleurite Moluccanus Baumes, which is also known as "Candlenut Tree" or "Candle Tree". The seeds of the fruit are often used in Indonesian cuisine to achieve a creamy texture and nutty taste in different dishes. The seeds are usually roasted or cooked before they are crushed and processed into a paste. This paste can be used as the basis for sauces, soups, curries and other dishes. In Indonesia, Kemiri is often used in dishes such as Sate, Rendang and Gado-Gado.
